Zucchini lasagna with ground turkey

This is one of my healthier recipes instead of using lasagna noodles, the recipe calls for slices of Zucchini .
preheat oven to 375 degrees
4-6 servings

Time 40 minutes

You will need:

-4 zucchini sliced diagnal
-Ground turkey :
1.25lbs of ground turkey (Thawed)
1 teaspoon of garlic pepper
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
Sauce:
-1 can of ragu traditional spaghetti sauce
-1tsp cayenne pepper
-1 tbsp of garlic powder
-1tsp black pepper
-1tbsp of paprika
-1/2 tsp of oregano
-1tbsp of onion powder
-1tsp of salt

-1cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
-Olive oil

Step 1:
-   in a large skillet on medium heat add your ground turkey meat .. break up chunks of your ground turkey meat using a spatula
- add all of your seasoning to your ground meat
brown your ground turkey meat completely  (be sure your heat is not on high, ground turkey will dry out )
-if you have a little grease in your pan that is okay, turkey tend to be dry so the grease will help moisten it

step 2:
-in a large pot pour in your ground meat
-pour in your sauce and bring to medium heat
-add in all your seasonings for your sauce , stir occasionally on medium low heat

step 3:
-In a glass pan drizzle a little olive oil back and forth
-for your first layer ,line your pan with your sliced  zucchini to cover the bottom. make them over lap each other just a little
-sprinkle cheese add  meat sauce, cheese and layer with zucchini on top
-repeat cheese, meat sauce, cheese for second layer

Example of layering :

step 4 : bake for 20 minutes let sit for 5 minutes  and serve !
