Chicken Adobo

Time: 45 minutes

Chicken adobo

you will need:

-12 wings
-6 small yellow potatoes cut in half
-half of a yellow onion diced
-1 diced bell pepper
-1 cup of jasmine rice
-1 cup of water for adobo 1 1/4 cup for rice
-1/2 cup of soy sauce
-1/4 cup of vinegar
-1 tsp of paprika
-1 tsp of onion powder
-1 tsp of black pepper
-1/4 cup of olive oil
-2 tsp of salt


Step 1:
  • In a large non-stick pan bring olive oil to medium heat
  • Add wings to pan sprinkle chicken with Salt, Pepper and Paprika
  • Add in potatoes ,cover and let chicken and potatoes cook for 5 minutes
  • Add Soy Sauce and vinegar to pan , bring to simmer, then add water
Step 2:
  • cook rice in a rice cooker if you own one. If not cook rice in a pot until rice is tender. (rinse rice first, and then drain water from rice .bring water to a boil then add rice, reduce to medium low heat and cover. )
Step 3:
  • add onions, bell pepper and onion powder to your chicken adobo cover and let simmer for 25 minutes or until chicken and potatoes are tender
Step 4:
  • Serve chicken adobo over rice
  • pour extra adobo sauce over rice if you like
  • Dinner is Ready!
