Tilapia with seared shrimp
preheat oven to 325 degrees
you will need
tilapia:
-4 fillets of tilapia
-8 slices of lemon
-1 bunch of cilantro
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
-creole or old bay seasoning
butter sauce
-1/3 cup of melted butter
- 1 tsp. of parsley
-1 tsp. of fish sauce
-1 tsp. of garlic powder
shrimp
-1lb of large shelled and deveined shrimp
-1/4 cup of vegetable oil
-1 tbsp. of fish sauce
-1 /2 of parsley
-1 tsp. of minced garlic or garlic powder
step 1:
- get out 1 sheet of foil paper
-layer your tilapia like so ; Tilapia , sprinkle your seasoning of choice on top, garlic, lemon, cilantro
- place in oven for about 15 minutes or until fish is white and flakey
step2:butter sauce
-prepare your butter sauce by adding seasoning to melted butter and set aside
step 3:shrimp
- in a medium non stick pan on medium high heat pour in oil , add in your shrimp , add in fish sauce then butter , garlic and parsley . cook 3-5 minutes.
step 4 :
-remove tilapia from oven in a large not stick pan add in a 1 tbsp. of butter
-place each fillet of tilapia in pan and cook for 2 minutes until tilapia has a light golden brown crust
serve with shrimp on top of tilapia drizzle butter sauce on top or on the side. serve with lemons and your choice of vegetables
